Places To Visit

As we aware that lots of our guests will be travelling into Ireland specifically for our special day we wanted to highlight some places that are well worth a visit.

Northern Ireland

  • In Belfast, the Titanic Museum is a must. James never misses out on a pint of the black stuff in Cathedral Quarter when we are home. The Duke of York has hosted many a special occasion for us. The Crown Liquor Saloon (Crown Bar) is a real original Irish pub with gas lights and “snugs” and run today by the National Trust.

  • The North Coast features beautiful beaches, rugged coastline and some amazing golf courses. But its crowning jewel is certainly the Giant’s Causeway, which is a must-see when visiting Northern Ireland. That can be accessed by the beautiful Antrim coast road.

  • Our ceremony will take place in County Armagh where Hannah was born and raised, known for its beautiful countryside, endless apple orchards and tasty Tayto crisps.

  • For any Game of Throne fans, there are endless filming locations to be discovered across NI. Other areas of note are the Mourne Mountains and Fermanagh Lakes.

  • For those who would like to explore Belfast and Dublin, there are direct express train journeys every hour on the hour.

Republic of Ireland

  • Dublin will be high on the list for many of you and the big tourist attractions include the Guinness Storehouse, Temple Bar, Jameson Distillery, Trinity College, Dublin Castle & Phoenix Park. Dublin Zoo is also lovely for those with young children.

  • Other areas of note would be Cork, Galway, Wicklow Mountains, Sligo, Donegal and Co Meath that has neolithic areas such as Newgrange and The Burren.

  • Only 15 minutes from Bellingham Castle, you’ll find Strandfield — a lovely café, florist, and grocer.
